Our First Petition

Our first petition, sponsored by The Mayor of Hertsmere Rosemary Gilligan and introduced to the committee by Mark Blundell, was presented to the Highways Committee of Hertsmere Council.

Mark was joined at the meeting by Philippa Good, mother of Ben Good who survived a horrible accident outside the Clore Shalom School some eighteen months ago and by Reg Blake and other members of the Action Group.

The Committee requested that Mark’s introduction be left with them to accompany the petition and give them guidance as to our requirements.

We should not expect any immediate action as the committee now has to undertake its own investigation. We will make our own follow up in about two months. The Committee will report back at the next meeting in January.
