Next Meeting

Following our highly successful launch we have had a good number of residents signing up for membership.  We should now like to have a meeting of all those who have signed up and of anyone else who may be thinking of joining us.

This meeting will be held in the Village Hall at 8pm on Thursday 16th July.

This will be the first official meeting of Members and therefore all the Officers will need to be ratified by a vote.  So if anybody wishes to stand for any of the positions detailed in the Constitution please let us know preferably by e-mail.

We are in urgent need of a Treasurer so please if there is anyone with some financial acumen who would be willing to take on this not very onerous role please let us know as soon as possible.  Without a Treasurer we may not be able to  move forward.

We must, of course, also determine the future course of action to meet our objectives of slowing the traffic in and around our village.

We do not currently have an elected Chairman therefore this meeting will be chaired by Mark Blundell who is not standing for any of the elected positions.  Future meetings will be chaired by the Chairman

Come and see us at the Shenley Community Fair on Thursday 25th February from 6.30pm.

Many of you will know that it was decided over a year ago that the 40 mph speed limit along Shenleybury would be extended to beyond the junction of Farm Close going towards Bell Lane.  Now 14 month later this has not happened and Hertfordshire Highways cannot or will not tell us why.

This is a disgrace and the continued failure of Highways to carry out this simple task continues to put the children of Clore Shalom School in unnecessary danger.  It also endangers the children of Shenley JMI who walk to the Clore Shalom School for their Shared Futures Project and anyone else who uses this stretch of road.

Please feel free to email the Highways department to express your feeling about this appalling situation -

If you cannot be there on the 25th and have some views please contact us.
