You asked in the last Parish Magazine if there is any more you can do. From my point of view just keep doing what you are doing and if there are obvious things fight for them. So far you have done a great job

I regret to advise you that our Chairman, Keith Groves, passed away earlier this week. I am afraid that I have no further details at the moment. If I hear more I will let you know
Wayne, This Action Group has not been given a mandate by anyone. Our stated aims are: "The object of the Group shall be to work actively toward the reduction of vehicle speed on all roads in Shenley and for the General Safety of all residents within the Shenley area. Please note the General safety of all residents in the Shenley area. We were approached by he Parish Council to see if there was any mileage in this proposal. There have been only very few signatories to the petition and fewer still objections. Nothing has yet been decided. W etake on board all views and either move forward or not
I wish you well with your campaign about reducing traffic speed, however I think you are overstepping the mark regarding your proposal to make Pound Lane one way. This road has been working perfectly well as two way for decades, why do you think it should be changed now? Your proposal would force people to make more right turns onto London Road, this will only INCREASE THE CHANCE OF AN ACCIDENT. I wonder how many of your committee actually use Pound Lane on a regular basis? Please do not overstep any mandate you have been given so far and start interfereing in proposals that make no sense and have nothing to do with you. As far as I am concerened your organisation exists to campaign on traffic speed through the village and this alone.
Raymond, thank you for your support. It is good to know that while we have not started work on your end of the village yet you are still with us. I will contact you.
I live at the other end of the St Albans - Borehamwood racetrack and would like to support the SaferShenley Group. I will not be able to attend the meeting on 27th April due to a previous commitment, but have 16th July in my diary. Further, if no-one else comes forward, I would be prepared to offer my services as treasurer.

Black Lion Hil and Shenleybury are more like a racetrack. Just this morning A DHL van was overtaking at well in excess of 40 mph right on the shaded area at the junction with Farm Close. Thank goodness there were no children about and noone turning int the school. He was going so fast that I couldn't get his number

Thanks, Reg. We will make a note for future use. It just shows that we need Hertfordshire Highways to act quickly so that we can move on to other road equally deserving of attention

So, glad the Web Site is up and running, well done,
On Monday 15th Feb at the junction of Woodhall Lane and Green Street, there was black ice. Between 7.30 and 8.30 am there were three seperate incidents of cars taking the bend too fast skiding off the road onto the grass verges.
Today 18th Feb, again black ice, a small white van skidded, ripping off his exhaust and bending his front wheel.
While we concentrate on Shenleybury, I feel it will also be useful to register on the webpage any speed related incidents for later ammunition
